March 1st 2010 Spring is here with all its spring greens - ivy berries and leaves now, then the fresh leaves of dogs mercury, then dock, nettles, comfrey, elder .......... Time to sow woad seeds for blue in the late summer and there'll be more reds and purples from exotic madder and pernambuco. I shall be open here at the Old Chapel as part of Newbury Open Studios on Saturday and Sunday May 15th and 16th, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday May 18th, 19th and 20th, Saturday and Sunday May 22nd and 23rd all from 11am - 5pm |
